Spot competitor's prices in a third-world country

How might we ensure the best price to our customers and beat our competitors?
Achievement
Increase the return of investment in the key categories by increasing the capabilities to spot our competitor’s prices by creating a multi-platform app to track princess and respond to them in less than 24h.

The method
I approach this project as one of the first projects with a UX designer in the company. But unfortunately, the team didn't know how to work with a designer; they don't understand the process, the value, or the deliverables.
I ran a discovery phase for three weeks; I identified the logic to be in place and interviewed end-users.
I implemented a component library that was developed as a design language for internal applications by the Mexico team.
I created two prototypes, one for the desktop app and the other for the app developed for the stores.
The team
I was working with a technical product owner from the technology team and a product owner from the business side; a tech lead and a development team were involved.
The process
During the discovery, I found resistance from the team; they were trying to start the development before design.
The business had no idea of the logic they wanted to implement in the solution, and I had to create a workshop to figure it out.
I found that the Mexico design team was developing a component library, and we worked together to improve the library and use it for multiple apps.
I prototype the app using Maze and test it on the stores to get feedback.
Learnings
The UX discovery process and solution design were hingly valuable for the team becaus they don’t have a clear vision of the product.
The product enable the organization with new capabilities to be a better competitor.
The project vision were shot minded and some of the ideas I proposed won’t be implemented.
I was highli important to give a training to the team I was working for so they understand the deliverables and how to implement the design in to code.
